Qigong

A tool for self-healing, self-discovery and growth.

Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is an ancient Chinese healing art that integrates posture, movement, breath, self-massage, sound, and focused intent.

Qi translates as ‘subtle breath’ or ‘vital energy’. Gong is defined as ‘cultivation’, ‘working’ or ‘gathering’. Qigong is the practice of cultivating your vital energy to improve or maintain physical, emotional and mental health. It is a mind-body-spirit practice.

Qigong practice helps to relax and regulate the central nervous system, release physical and emotional stress, promote mental and emotional well-being and clarity. It is a tool for self-healing, self-discovery and growth.

Qigong is thousands of years old and there are thousands of ways to practice. Qigong forms may focus on the physical, emotional, or spiritual parts of your being. Forms can be long or short, standing or sitting (or even lying down), complicated or simple.

I focus on simple and open-hearted forms for my personal practice and what I choose to teach. Simple helps you relax. Being relaxed helps the qi flow. When qi flows free and clear, all parts of our being come into better balance…Mind-Body-Spirit. Bringing some Joy to your practice makes it even more beneficial.
